Raise Your Happiness Index
i just read about a taxi driver who had decorated his cab with flowers and posters. When asked about it, he said that he was thankful to have work, and that he spent so much time in his cab that it was really his office, and so he wanted it to be a soothing and joyful place, both for himself and his passengers. I think he is a wise person.
Whether it’s a fast-paced, stressful work environment, or a busy home, one of the things you can do to provide respite from the hustle and bustle and noise is to have even one piece of art that makes you feel good every time you look at it.
I love this quote from someone who purchased a painting from me. “Your painting is the first thing I see when I come home from work. It brings me the peace I otherwise only find on the mountain”.
What do you like to look at? What type of image do you think would introduce a calming or happy feeling into your space?
